ELM SALAD BOWL #502, 14X5.25

There are several varieties of elm that are native to North America.  The variety called "American Elm" was almost wiped out by the Dutch Elm Disease. I believe this bowl is American Elm or one of the new hybrids. Very pretty brown color with lots of dark bits probably where small limbs tried to grow.  A small knot and a spliah of light sapwood add more interesting features.  SOLD
