PEAR SALAD BOWL #491,11X4.5

Bradford pear trees have beautiful white flowers in the spring and red leaves in the fall (I also understand that they smell bad in the spring).  The wood is very hard, dense, and sands to a very smooth almost marble like finish.  Tree has a very short trunk so I don't get many bowls out of a "found" log.  This bowl has a rounded rim and a small foot.  Woud hold a salad for the honeymoon couple and maybe two friends.  SOLD
