LARGE MAPLE SALAD BOWL #521, 14.75X4.5

  This maple bowl has a little bit of every kind of figure one would find in a piece of wood.  Several burley bits can be seen near the rim on the top photo.  Awesome tiger striping decorates two sides.  Ray fleck (a characteristic of quarter sawn lumber) is present near the bottom of the bowl.  Blue color is provided by the blue stain fungi which dies as the wood dries.  Maple bowl # 520 was cut from the inside of this bowl.
